Ground training is a fundamental technique for the integral development of the horse, both physically and mentally. Through exercises carried out with rope, long reins and at liberty, we provide a natural and effective way of working with the horse, promoting its well-being in all aspects. This approach not only improves their physical condition, but also their ability to concentrate, balance and body awareness.

Benefits of foot-to-ground training

  • Improved biomechanics: Observing and understanding the horse's natural movement allows us to train more healthily and efficiently. By adjusting the way he moves, we can improve his long-term performance.
  • Physical strengthening: We work on improving the horse's musculature, ensuring it is strong and balanced, which is essential to prevent injuries and improve its overall performance.
  • Balance and proprioceptionThe horse's balance skills and spatial awareness are strengthened through specific exercises, enabling it to react better and more stably to different situations.
  • Correction of postural patterns: We focus on identifying and correcting bad posture or inefficient movements, thus optimising the horse's efficiency in its movements.
  • Injury prevention: By developing greater body awareness, we improve the horse's flexibility and endurance, which significantly reduces the risk of long-term injury.

Personalised and progressive training

Groundwork gives us the opportunity to focus on specific aspects of the horse's education and behaviour. Whether it is to correct vices, improve skills or simply maintain a good level of training, this approach allows us to progress in a progressive and controlled way, adapting the sessions to the particular needs of each horse.
